Brian's Judo Presentations

The illustrious day occurred on the Thursday, 5/12/2013 and today is the day of Brian's Judo presentations which end the Judo season for the year. I hadn't been to the Western Youth Centre, where the Judo takes place in over 5 years which is crazy when I think about it. Was pretty nervous when coming in because not sure whether would recognise people, remember names (which I didn't) and have the ultimate question asked, are you coming back? and then having to say no nicely every time :P

Got there around 6:00pm via the old school transport of walking with my brother. He went off with his little mates playing chasey and hide and seek and shit and I was left sitting down on the chairs like one of those awkward parents LOL. Decided to go walk about there and have some chat sessions hehe. There were so many faces that were new and the ones that I did recognise had changed soooooo much, things have definitely changed heaps since I last saw them. Saw Nathan, someone I use to train with, who is probably 40+ years old now and the first thing I thought was that man he was worn out as fuark. His face was drowsy as hell, no disrespect intended, dude is a mass sick cunt His job and 3 kids must be taking a huge toll on the guy though.

Was great talking to David again too, a 40+ year old whom I was pretty chilled with back in the day LOL. We always use to make stupid jokes, I don't know why, but I always liked him despite our huge age difference when I would've been like 13 and him 35 or so. Was sick talking to him about what's been happening down his alley, turns out his daughter I use to train with as well is now 22 and is engaged. Could not believe she is 22 now, blew my mind when I heard it ahah.

Rest of the night was spent mingling and catching up with everyone that I hadn't seen in several years. It was very interesting hearing their stories and how some of them had travelled around the world to America or Vietnam. Everyone was also so grown up now, it was really weird..... but like a good weird ahah :'). Time flies so fuarking quick, seems like just yesterday I was bowing on the mats to the senseis, Max and Graham at 6:00pm and starting off with a running warm-up and then at the end of the lesson getting into dat dere sparring time which i dreaded because I'd always lose against Alexey rofl :P.

Was really good seeing everyone again though, great seeing where everyone is now and seeing some new peoples. Still can't get over how those 5 years flew by so quick...... (no homo)

Congrats to my brother on the encouragement award AHAHAHA. Still a lad.
