Part of my history

Please fellow readers and stumble-uponers, if you have the time, please read this post. It means a lot to me.

Been getting a lot closer with my mum, dad and brother lately and it's been really good.. Its hard to explain but I guess I help make things better around the house if you guys know what i mean. I don't know, I'm really proud of myself for this, man I'm getting teary :P.

Been having a lot more conversations with my mum lately, some of them on the past of our family. I just want to share some stories with you guys because you all mean so much to me <3

How my mum and dad met
My dad had a nephew that was sick and my mum's little sister was sick and they were both at the same hospital so yea you understand the rest of the story :)

My Dad's Father
He was a really high ranked commander of the army for the South of Vietnam and was only a few ranks down from the president of Vietnam. He was really rich and had a huge house and servants and everything but when the North took over the South, him and all his family were forced out of there homes and he was put in jail for 17 years. When in jail, ge was given a pot about as big as a soccer ball and that was his toilet for a week before he could empty it. Apparently things were so bad that each time he'd empty it he would try and catch a lizard and grass to put it in the pot so he could eat it later. Yea, he had to put his limited food in his shit pot just to survive. When he was released he went to America and there he was diagnosed with liver cancer and returned to Vietnam. On the day that he was about to die my mum and me came to visit him, i was 2 and a half years old. No-one would let us in because he was vommitting blood everywhere and they were scared I would get sick. My mum had to let me see him though and forced us in. My mum says that when he saw me was so sick but his eyes were happy, he touched my arms and legs and hugged me. I was a really special kid because I was the only male to carry on the family name because my dad was the only son. Just hours later after seeing me he passed away.

My Mum's Brother
During the Vietnam war between the North and the South, he fought for the South and was on the front lines at all times and was the scout for his army. This means he would always be the first one to run in and check if things are alright for everyone else. He died when he was 19 from being shot in the groin and bled to death on the battle field. Pretty funny place to get shot tbh but I can't even begin to imagine how brave he was. He left behind his wife that was 17 and his son, whom was 1 at the time. The wife ended up leaving and the son had to grow up without a mother and father since he was 1 and my grandma looked after him.

My Mum's Sister
One day she was bathing with my mum and her siblings and my uncle pointed out that she had really white skin and a few days later she said that she found it hard to breathe. She went to the hospital and they did a lumbar puncture and they were 70% sure that she had blood cancer but they weren't 100% sure so they took her to another hospital. There they put a needle into her heart which hurt so much she was screaming and crying, the results came back and it was confirmed she had blood cancer. She was then moved over to a cancer hospital and lived for another 6 months. She died when she was 11.

I'll be sure to keep the stories rolling in when they come up :) Sorry for the extremely-ly-ly-ly-ly long post.
